  • English politician.
  • He drew up the laws that made the Church of England independent of Rome.
  • He first worked for Thomas Wolsey.
  • He became secretary to Henry VIII in 1534.
  • Cromwell was in charge of government policy.
  • In 1540 he was executed fro treason.
